Title: Single speed can't get s word or SRO to change
Post by: kemlin on June 02, 2017, 09:48:29 AM
Using Mach III I am unable to get the MDI input to change speed of my spindle or from the main screen using the SRO.  I have been over manuals and forums and think I might be loosing my mind.  Any one else run across this?  I am using a PMDX-107 for speed control and I am really sure that is not the problem, I'm pretty sure I have something in mach messed up.

Does setting the spindle speed in a G-code file work for you?

If I go to the MDI page I can turn it on and off but not adjust the speed and it doesn't seem to matter what the S word is it always spins at 38~HZ according to the VFD.  I have tried to peg the speed and stall it without any change.  I tried to do a .txt file to load Gcode which didn't work at all, that is more than likely because I have no idea what I am doing writing code at this point.

In addition to Mach3, there are many configuration settings in the VFD
that can affect operation. Were you able to get the the spindle to run
100% of full speed and at 30% of full speed using the TEST button on
the PMDX-107? If this is working correctly, please send us your XML
file so we can look over your Mach3 configuration.

When I go to test mode I get the same results of single speed.  I am looking into the VFD settings to try to figure out where that is messed up but struggling.

Called Mitsubishi this morning and they were able to get me taken care of.  Now the S word command and the slider SRO works.
