Title: PMDX 424 and Jtech Laser

Built a cnc router a few years back. Using 424 for my motion control board. Question is I am looking to add a laser for some wood engraving. It has been a few years since I built my machine and I'm afraid i've forgot most of what I learned. Can anyone get me pointed in the right direction as far as how to hook the laser up to the board?

That depends on what control signals your laser controller needs.  Do you need a PWM signal to control laser intensity?  Or an analog signal (0-10V perhaps) to control intensity?  Or just a "laser on/off" signal?  Do you also have currently have any kind of spindle speed control in your system?

What is the brand and model number of the laser controller you plan to use?
