I am testing a lathe configuration using the quadrature encoder for spindle speed measurement. I can get spindle speed measurement to work using the index pulse, and using tach mode. When configured for encoder speed measurement I get zero.
If I configure for tach mode and then switch to quadrature mode it starts working. After shutting down Mach 4 and restarting it no longer works until I repeat the procedure.
I am using an Arduino to simulate a 100 line quadrature encoder running at 150 RPM.
I have attached the Machine.ini file.
