Thanks Steve.
Looking over the options I think I will go buy some 3-wire npn  NC switches from omron. 
Some new cables will need to be run, but at least the mounting holes will line up.

I am in the process of replacing a gecko-g540 with a pmdx-126.
The swap  has been pretty straight forward with the exception of limit switches.

The limit switches are 2-wire npn proximity switches  that run off 12-24 vdc.
The g540 was able to drive a pair on Omron tl-n7dm2 wired in series  on a single input   and  a pair of q5md2 on another input  .

How would I go about hooking this up to the pmdx-126?   If they are wired like mechanical switches and say use  jp11 pin 11/gnd is used there isn't enough power to activate them.
