PMDX-424, constant PC connection required?

Hello,

Apologies for the basic question. I am looking to build my first CNC and was hoping to get some clarification on how the PMDX-424 functions.

Does the PC need to stay connected to the board while running G-code or can it be disconnected after the code has been loaded?

The PC needs to remain connected to the board during the process of running the G-code because it is Mach4 software that is feeding the motion commands in small bits to the PMDX-424.

The PC does not need to be, and probably should not be, connected to the Internet while running Mach4.
