Hello everyone,
I've been attempting to setup a touch plate (
http://www.themakersguide.com/home/products/triple-edge-finder-2) to the PMDX-126 but so far have been unsuccessful. I actually had it working great about a year ago, but due to some other issues I had to disassemble my controller box and apparently I have forgotten how to set it back up.
For this setup I've grounded my Huanyang 2.2KW spindle, which is of course ran to my VFD, and finally I run a ground wire from my VFD to the ground (earth) inside my controller box. On the PMDX-126 I've wired the signal cable for the touch plate into J12, "15". So my question is, do I need to wire anything to the GND on the PMDX-126? Should I wire something from GND (the one referenced next to "15") on the PMDX-126 to the ground (earth) that I took the VFD ground to? I've attached a simple, crude drawing to this thread in hopes that it will show what I've poorly explained.
Mach 3 Ports & Pins->Input Signals:
Enabled: Green Check
Port#: 1
Pin Number: 15
Active Low: Green Check
Any help is greatly appreciated!
