PMDX107 Spindle Direction same pin as PMDX126 Relay PIN
« on: December 15, 2021, 07:14:41 PM »
Couldnt find an answer to this question, although its probably been answered before.

I am using a PMDX126, PMDX107 and a Mesa 7i92h.

When I turn on my spindle the relay activates on the PMDX126. From what I can tell in the documentation for the 107 and the 126 is that the relay on the 126 and the spindle direction input share the same parallel port pin.

Is this correct, and I can only use the larger relay in conjunction with the spindle operating?

Thanks,
Scott...

If you are using a VFD, then normally the Run command for the VFD comes from the terminals of the PMDX-107 itself.

If you just need to use the small K2 relay independent of the Direction signal, then set JP2 to the Multimode position and then the relay will be controlled by Pin 14 of the second parallel port input on the PMDX-126.
